Vikram is back with a unique avatar. That of a commercial hero who bashes goons, tries hi hand at comedy and appear in colourful clothes romancing girls.
Director Suseenthiran and Vikram team for Rajapattai that is colour, vibrant and energetic. Deeksha Seth, Veteran filmmaker K Vishwanath and Pradeep Rawat form part of the cast.
After a string of some close to realistic films, Vikram is back to create the magic of Dhil, Dhool and Samy. He delivers what he promised before the movie's release.
He plays Anal Murugan (Vikram), a gym boy in Chennai. His only ambition is to become a popular villain on screen. But a good hearted and kind soul, he goes out of the way to help needy. He adores one old man (K Vishwanath). Murugan comes to know that land mafia had cheated the old man. He knows that it was Pradeep Rawat and his men who have taken ride on the old man. Now he starts his mission to set things right. There is romance in the form of Deeksha Seth for him.
With Vikram around, the screen is filled with energy and enthusiasm. he is bubbly and charming. In different get-up that he appears on screen, he regales you. Deeksha Seeth plays a typical heroine. Pradeep Rawath and Vishwanath does chip in with their best.
Avinash, Thambi Ramiah, Mayilsamy and Mithra Kurien are also in the cast. As a special attraction, there is a song featuring Vikram, Reema Sen and Shriya.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has come up with some average tunes. The different get-ups of Vikram sustains greater interest. However with Suseenthiran at the scheme of things and Vikram in his prime form, Rajapattai is entertaing.
