A movie on 3D stereoscopic technology for the first time. Events occur close to our eyes. One may get a feeling of watching things unfold at very close quarters. A different feel indeed for audience thanks to the director duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayanan.
The duo made Orr Iravu, a errie thriller, first view point film. Now they have come out with 3D film. Technology seems to drive the duo. (Ajay) and Vendhan (Srijith) are collegemates. Ajay loves a girl Poongavanam (Sanam). He comes across a evil spirit. He in the company of Amudhan sets out to find out what the evil force is all about. The villagers say it was a beast called Ambuli because of which they live in constant fear. How the two friends decide to end Ambuli's menace is what the movie is all about.
Ajay and Sreejith play their part as friends well. They give right expressions. Sanam is adequate as heroine. Thambi Ramiah, Bosskey, Kalairani and Jagan play supporting roles.
Parthiban's cameo as Sengodan in the movie is scintillating. He provides right twists and turns in the film.
Camera and stereoscope by Satheesh deserves special mention. It is a technically-rich film. Three cheers to Ambuli, a splendour on screen.
