Music director S S Kumaran has chosen to take a big leap - wielding the megaphone. In his first venture as director, he has handled a romantic story that would have the audience burst in laughter.
If a love story is well-narrated with catchy music and splendid cinematography, obviously the end-product will be convincing. So is Theneer Viduthi. It is engrossing in most parts.
Kumaran (Adith) and his elder brother Raja (Kodumudi Suresh) erects 'pandhal' for all festivals in a village near Bodinayakanur.
Comes Valli (Reshmi) in Kumaran's life. They fall for each other. Her father is a simple and straightforward government official Nachiyappa Chettiyar (Prabhakar).
Coming to know about the romance between Kumaran and Valli, the latter is sent to her sister's house. But Kumaran goes there, with his friends making arrangments for his wedding. The climax will let us know whether the two tie the knot or not.
Adhith and Reshmni gets under the skin and performs well. Prabhakar does play the role with aplomb. Kodumudi Suresh is adequate. With so many fresh faces, Kumaran has managed to extract the best from them.
Kumaran has captured the lives in village well. Also his music and background score deserve a special mention. Cinematography by Manavalan is top-class capturing the village beauty bright and beautiful.
The movie is a collage of many previous films but there are many interesting moments to enjoy.
