Parthiban is a man who thinks different. After a brie interval, he is back with a movie that is written, enacted and directed by him. Unlike his previous ventures, he has opted to go the action way.
Parthiban joins the young brigade of sdtars who decide to do khaki. His 50th film promises aplenty. Produced by Seventh Channel Manickam Narayanan, the movie has Poorna playing his ladylove and Milind SOman as baddie.
The movie begins briskly. It has surprising elements but till intreva;l. It slowly loses the steam and ends up as predictable fare.
Thanks to Parthiban's screen presence, the movie manages to rock. Rowthiran (Parthiban) is a senior police officer with a mission. To bump off criminals from society.
Enters Mary (Poorna), a young girl. She initially misunderstands him and later falls for him. Meanwhile Rowthiran's mysterious past is revealed in a flashback. Sequence of events puts him behind the bars. Now the cop turns a criminal. It is from here this brainy Rowthiran plans differently to achieve his mission and settle score with gangster (Milind Soman).
Songs by Joshua Sridhar of Kadhal fame are good. Cinematography is good and editing by Antony is crisp.
Parthiban's special all the way with his witty one-liners. Vithagan is watchable.
