Raghavendra Lawrence is geared up for the release of Kanchana, that has been put off by a week. The movie is now ready for release this Friday (22 July).
Lawrence, who started his career as a choreographer and turned actor before turning director, plays a woman in the film. Sarathkumar is doing an equally powerful role
'When I told my family that I played a woman character, they were surprised. Even my family members couldnít recognise me when they watched portions of the film,' said Lawrence.
'I had to practice a lot to get the mannerisms and behaviour of a woman right,' said the actor who was trained by Shivashankar Master for the role. Itís a suspense thriller and I am planning to make a sequel too, he said.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi Rai is equally thrilled about her performance in the film. With peppy music and excellent visuals, Kanchana will rock, she says.
Lawrence is hopeful at the film's prospects in the box-office. 'Salman recently watched the trailers and promos of Kanchana and he was thoroughly impressed. He expressed his desire to act in the filmís Hindi remake and talks are on currently,' he says.
