Suseenthiran, shot to fame with movies like Vennilla Kabbadi Kuzhu and Nan Mahan Alla, is ready with his third venture Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai. As the title suggests the script is woven around horse.
’The movie, which has Appukutty and Saranya Mohan in lead roles, is set in a village called Mallayapuram near Theni. The villagers believe that they would get copious rain after the annual Thiruvizha in which the God is taken around on a huge wooden vehicle,’ says Suseenthiran.
‘However, they are in for a rude shock when they find the wooden horse goes missing. At the same time, one youth Azhagarsami, who earns his livelihood by loading weight in his horse in Aagamalai village in Periyakulam, gets ready for his marriage,’ the release adds.
‘But he too gets a shock when his horse goes missing. His marriage plans gets halted. The rest is all but whether the villagers found the wooden horse or not and Azhagarsami's travails to get his horse back and get married.’
Says the director, Appukutty is my choice when I wrote the script. It has everything one would love to watch on screen.
'Another highlight is Ilayaraja's music. He is a legend and he has given me the best. Working with him is a delight'.
