After successful outings in ‘Vaathiyar’ and ‘Durai’, ‘action king’ Arjun teams up with director A. Venkatesh for the third time in ‘Vallakottai’. Much the same as the first two films, this film too promises to be an action-packed film with a racy screenplay. The film pairs Kannada hottie Haripriya, who was last seen in ‘_____’ opposite Karan, as Arjun’s heroine.
Venkatesh, who portrayed the role of a ruthless Textiles showroom manager in director Vasanthabalan’s ‘Angaadi Theru’ early this year, is known for making interesting action flicks with necessary masala ingredients mixed in it in right measure. It’s to Venkatesh’s credit that he managed to deliver a hit with ‘Malai Malai’, starring Arjun Vijay in the lead after many in the industry thought that Arun Vijay had become a ‘spent force’.
With Arjun, Venkatesh gets into his favourite zone of high octane action films. The director, who either had Vivek or Vadivelu in all his earlier films, has roped in Sathyan this time around in ‘Vallakottai’. As Arjun has shown himself to be equally adept in comedy sequences too, the new combination of Arjun and Sathyan is sure to tickle the funny bones of the viewers to no end.
Thankfully, Arjun is not going to play the cop this time around. The shooting of Arjun’s another film titled ‘Maasi’ has also been wrapped up and is being lined up for release. There appears to be a ‘minor competition’ between the producers of ‘Maasi’ and ‘Vallakottai’ to release their respective films first. Whichever film releases first, it would only be patronized by the fans if it has something interesting on offer, for sure!
