After dabbling in television, radio and politics, Rose Venkatesan has become the country's first transgender filmmaker. And for her debut film, Rose has chosen match-fixing in cricket as the theme.
Titled Cricket Scandal, the movie speaks about how people lose money in betting on cricket matches. 'The film deals with the relationship between a cricket team's captain and a transsexual bar dancer', she says.
Kishan Ramachandran, Senthil Kumar and Parthiban form part of the cast. Music is by debutant Deeban, while lyrics are by Dr Kiruthaya and Gana Bala. Agu Ajmal cranks the camera.
