The stage is set for the release of thespian Kamal Hassan's magnum opus Viswaroopam in Tamilnadu tomorrow. It will release in over 600 screens.
The Tamilnadu government informed the Madras High Court that it had lifted the ban and the actor and the Federation of Muslim Organisations withdrawing their petitions over the controversial film.
The much-hyped multi-crore budget film was earlier scheduled
to hit the screens on January 25. However, it hit a road block after several Muslim outfits petitioned the government demanding its ban on the ground that the film contained some objectionable scenes that hurt their sentiments and also portrayed them in poor light.
