It's official. Kamal Haasan today announced that his Viswaroopam will see the light of the day on February 7 (Thursday).
In a statement, the actor-director has thanked his fans, industry peers and media for offering support to him when he faced troubles to release the film.
The Tamil Nadu government on Sunday lifted the ban on Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam, finally paving way for its release in the State.
The decision came a day after an amicable solution was reached between the tripartiate talks between Kamal, members of Muslim organisations and the Tamil Nadu government.
The film was banned by the government after Muslim groups announced protests against it, saying that the movie hurt their religious sentiments.
On Thursday last, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa made a statement that the government would lift the ban if a solution is reached at a meeting between Kamal and Muslim representatives.
