Noted Playback singer S Janaki, film maker D Rama Naidu, veteran actress Sridevi among others have been chosen for Padma awards announced on Friday.
Sridevi who started her career in Tamil had acted alongside Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan graduated to Bollywood. S Janaki has sung several thousand songs and has sung in almost all languages.
However there are talks that she has chosen to refuse the award for calling it that it came late upon her.
