Popular filmmaker V Sekar who directed 17 films, is back after a brief interval with a movie titled Saravana Poigai. Produced and directed by V Sekar, the film marks the debut of his son Karl Marx as hero. Arundhathi plays the heroine while the cast also includes Vivek and Karunaas.
Speaking about the film, Sekar says, 'all my films so far carried family-oriented themes. Saravana Poigai is a youthful subject and speaks about romance'.
Karl Marx underwent rigorous training in dancing school and learnt action under the tutelage of stunt masters. I am confident that he will come up trumps as actor, he adds.
The movie has music by Vijay and cinematography by Mahendran. A major portion of the movie has been shot in a theatre, he says.
