The sudden meeting between theatre owners and Kamal Haasan has sparked speculation that the release of Viswaroopam might be postponed to the end of this month.
At a time when Kamal was gearing up for theatrical release on January 11 and DTH premiere on January 10, things took a sudden turn thanks to the meeting between Kamal and owners of cinema halls.
It is said that theatre owners, who initially said they would not screen Viswaroopam, have come down for a settlement. However, they want Kamal to accept a few conditions.
'A final decision will be taken later today. Viswaroopam will be postponed to the end of this month and it will be ensured that the film will hit maximum number of screens,' sources said.
