It was an emotional moment for Rajnikanth as he chose to thank his fans for their special prayers which helped him recover from the kidney ailment that he suffered a couple of years ago.
Speaking at the 63rd birthday celebrations of Rajnikanth organised by his fans association in Chennai on Thursday, Rajnikanth said, ' Am extremely great to all my fans who helped me recover from the bout of illness'.
Rajnikanth said, 'I was a smoker and took to alcohol. As a result suffered a lot. I urge my fans to give up such habits'. He further said that he is apolitical and added that he has already answered to frequent questions about his entry to politics.
A host of film personalities were also present to wish him on the occasion.
