Ashwin Balaji, who worked as production executive and was part of Kamal Haasan and K Balachander movies, will be making his foray as hero. He plays the lead in Kallapetty, directed by R R Murthy.
Speaking about the film, Murthy says, 'It is a movie set in a rural place. It revolves around a callous youth. A woman, who had lost all fortunes in her life comes across this person. What transpires between them is the crux of the movie'.
Rosin Jolly, who had been part of a few Malayalam movies, plays the heroine. Namo Narayana dos the role of baddie. Jayaprakash plays a suave cop while Black Pandi is the comedian.
