After clearing all decks including the legal row over the title, the cast and crew of Thuppaki chose to launch the audio and teaser trailer at a grand function in Chennai.
Directed by A R Murugadoss, the movie features Vijay, Kajal Agarwal and Sathyan in lead roles with cinematography by Santosh SIvan and music by Harris Jeyaraj. Produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu, the movie is presented by Gemini Films Circuit.
Speaking at the event, Vijay said, 'Murugadoss is a great story-teller and a fantastic filmmaker to work with. I love to call him 'Kutty Mani Ratnam'. I admired his hard work since his early days. He worked as assistant director in Kushi'.
On her part, Kajal Agarwal said, 'the whole unit gave their best and Vijay was full of life. I take this opportunity to thank my director, whose body language I imitated in the film'.
