Rajnikanth, who is an ardent devotee of Swami Raghavendra, has reportedly donated a sum of Rs 100 crore to Raghavendra Swami shrine in Mantralayam.
It may be recalled that for his 100th film, Super Star played the role of the saint. The Mutt authorities in a press note said that Rajnikanth had donated the sum and noted that the old buildings on the rear side of the Sarvagnya Mandir in the Raghavendra shrine at Mantralayam.
Rajnikanth's gesture has won him the admiration of devotees across the country. It may be recalled that when he fell ill a year ago, special prayers were held at Mantralayam temple for him to get back to good health.
