Daniel Kish's admiration for Vikram

Daniel Kish, the US-based echolocation expert, is the inspiration behind Chiyaan Vikram's character in Thaandavam. He was in Chennai on Wednesday to share his experience working with Vikram in Thaandavam, was all praise for the actor.

Echolocation is a skill which uses noise as information. Kish has beenteaching people how to use sounds to navigate their way around.

Daniel, who lost his eyes when he was a child developed a technic called echolocation and he at ease handling his things independently even though he was visually impaired.

In Thaandavam, he appears in a cameo with Vikram. He says, 'Vikram was delightful and made it very easy. But I just considered him as just another student.'

Vikram plays a visually challenged man in Thaandavam directed by Vijay and produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
