Sattam Oru Iruttarai, a movie directed by S A Chandrasekhar in early 1980s starring Vijayakanth in the lead role, won laurels for both the director and the actor. Now almost after three decades, it is being remade.
Producing the movie is SAC's son and popular actor Vijay. A major portion of the movie has been completed and it has been given the title Thozhan meaning a friend.
Directed by Sneha, a niece of actor Vijay, the movie stars Tharun Kumar, Remma Sen, Bindhu Madhavai and Piyaa Bajpai in the lead. The crew had been to Hong Kong to shoot some important sequences and songs there.
It may be recalled that Vijay had visited the sets of the movie recently and entertained the cast and crew of the movie. The movie hs music by Vijay Anthony, cinematography by C J rajkumar and art by Vanaraj.
Says the director, ' we have retained the story but made some minor changes in the script to suit contemporary audience'.
