Veteran actor Kamal Haasan claims that renowned Tamil director K. Balachander mentored and perfected him, so he attributes his success and talent to his guru. Kamal made this statement after felicitating Balachander at an awards function.
'We came without any acting knowledge but K.B. Sir moulded and sculpted us, and taught us about cinema. I am proud to be able to felicitate him,' said the actor.
Kamal Haasan had acted in several Balachander movies in the past and he always calls him as his mentor.
