A civil court has adjourned the Thuppakki title issue to 14 August. The suit came up for hearing on Tuesday before the court on the petition filed by Ravi Devan of North East Film Work Factory, who alleged that the title and logo of the Vijay starrer movie share resemblances to his movie Kallathuppakki. The interim injunction against using the title Thuppakki has been extended till 14 August.
Ravi Devan had denied the allegations of Kalaipuli S Dhanu and claimed that he had registered the title Kallathuppakki in the year 2009 itself with South India Film Chamber of Commerce and it's been renewed every year and the film production is in the process and at the completion stage.
In the counter affidavit filed at the court on behalf of Ravi devan on Tuesday, he had mentioned several facts including that the wall poster of Kallathuppaki were covered bby Thuppaki posters all over the city and the lab processing of Kallathupakki which should have been conpleted in seven is unduly delayed for over 90 days.
