After music director Vijay Anthony venturing to acting, playback singer Prasanna follows the route. Prasanna is playing the lead not for a movie, but for a music video.
Prasanna has more than 1000 film songs in various regional languages to his credit. He is also well-known in devotional music circles too. Prasanna has always been different and his recent devotional album Sri Purandara, featuring rare Purandaradasar Padagalu, was a huge hit.
'My dream to sing an Abhang or a composition of Purandaradasa has finally come true. I have composed and sung eight of his rare compositions in Carnatic and Hindustani fusion, after thoroughly researching them with the help of music scholars,' says Prasanna.
