Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth came together in 1979 for a Ninaithale Inikkum, directed by K Balachander. It is now set for re-release.
A musical journey, the movie featured Jayaprada, Geetha among others. A major portion of the film was shot in Singapore.
Ninathale Innikum was an attempt at a light comedy with its music serving as the main attraction. The film follows Kamal Hassan who plays a singer and his band on a tour to Singapore. Rajnikanth played lead guitarist in the band. Over there in Singapore, Kamal meets his love interest (played by Jayaprada), only to find that she is terminally ill.
Considered an all-time classic, the movie had music by M S Viswanathan and almost all the songs went on to become huge hits. After almost 33 years, the movie is back in a new shape. Hold on! It's no remake, but plans are on to release the same digitalised and in a new avatar.
Plans are on to enhance the negative and give it a grading and convert into qube format. Also the audio would be digitalised and provided in Dolby Stereo Surround.
A huge set of technicians are working to provide colour upgradation and enhance the quality to ensure the present generation watch it without any hassles on screen.
