It is a big day for Karthi. After almost a year comes his film Saguni. His last was Siruthai in 2011.
Saguni directed by Shankar Dayal features Karthi, Pranitha, Santhanam in key roles. Says Karthi, 'Itís a clean film, and totally humorous. Itís a satire, yes, but all the situations in the film have been created especially for it. It has nothing to do with real politics'.
'One of the highlights of the film, the actor says, is the dialogues. When director Shankar Dayal narrated the script, what caught our attention was the characterisation and the scope it provided to dole out witty one-liners. In fact, our characters in the film - Rajini, Kamal and Sridevi - have been named so because of the narrative,' he says.
The actor insists that essaying the role of a modern-day Krishna Paramatma in Saguni was a tad bit difficult, more so because he had to share screenspace with veterans like Radhikaa, Nasser and Kota Srinivasa Rao.
