After being successfully screened at various international films festivals, its now Urumi's turn to find a place in the Imagineindia International Film Festival held in Madrid.
Interestingly the movie featured in the competitive section was adjudged the best. Santhosh Sivan was chosen the best director at the festival.
About 70 films were screened in 12 sections at the festival. The films in the competitive section included Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Urumi, Memoirs in March, Achal, Adaminte Makan Abu and Traffic.
Urumi's Tamil version was released last week by producer Kalaipuli S Thanu. The movie which was directed by Santosh Sivan had Prithviraj, Prabhudeva, Genelia, Arya, Vidyabalan and Tabu in prominent roles.
The Tamil version, produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu was released last week. Urumi hs managed to garner positive reviews and good opening in Tamil , quite like Malayalam.,
