With Fefsi announced their decision to strike work from 7 April, the situation in Kollywod is fluid. A strike is now imminent say many.
FEFSI has announced that if the producers do not agree to talk over the wage hike issue, they will call for an indefinite strike from April 7. A statement released by FEFSI said, 'Our members will stop participating in both shooting and post production of all films protesting the producers’ decision to form a new workers’ union and their refusal to come to talks.'
To counter this, TFPC stated that, 'Bharathiraja has been shooting without FEFSI workers and the other producers will also follow the example.'
The showdown looks strong and the battle is all set to begin.
