Karnan, a classic made in 1964 starring Sivaji Ganesan by B R Banthulu is re-released in digital format in over 100 screens. At a time when there were no computer graphics or animation technology, the movie had enough in it to enthrall fans.
Shanthi Chokkalingam of Divya Films have acquired the film to be released across the State. The movie boasts of a huge star cast including Sivaji Ganesan, Devika, Savithiri, N T Ramamrao, Muthuraman and Asokan.
The expectations are high among film-buffs and it is releasing the multiplexes too.
