There wont be any screening of movies on 23 February as the theatre-owners have have decided to take part in the strike called by film industry to condemn the service tax introduced by the Central government.
According to sources, the Producers Council, the Distributors Council, the Theatre Owners' Association, Directors Council, Nadigar Sangam and other ancillary associations in a joint press statement condemned the service tax imposed by the Central Government.
An all-India strike will be held on 23 February to condemn this service tax and hence there will be no film screening throughout the country, a press note said.
