Director Gautham Menon is planning the release of 'Ek Deewana Tha' on 17 February. The film is a remake of the smash hit Tamil film 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya' which had Silambarasan and Trisha as the lead pair. The songs set to tunes by AR Rahman were chartbusters and the Oscar winner has scored the music for the the Hindi version also.
Prateik Babbar and 'Madarasapattinam'-fame Amy Jackson play the lead roles in 'Ek Deewana Tha'. The film is a romantic entertainer and it is more than apt that it is released close to Valentine's Day.
