Following Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's request to contribute liberally to help people affected by Thane in Cuddalore, the South Indian Film Artistes Association aka Nadigar Sangam donated Rs five lakh to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
The president of Nadigar Sangam Sarath Kumar called on Jayalalithaa and personally handed over the amount to her.
Meanwhile, in his personal capacity Sarath Kumar gave Rs 15 lakh towards the cause.
