‘Thai Pongal’ is a harvest festival celebrated by Tamilians across the world. Traditionally celebrated at the time of harvest, Pongal is a festival of prosperity associated with harvest by thanking the Sun God, rain and the farm animals that have helped in the harvest. Celebrating this festive occasion, Vijay has lined-up some exciting shows and blockbuster movies on January 15 (day of Pongal), January 16 (Maatu Pongal) and January 17, 2012.
