Unlike Don 2, Billa 2 is a prequel to Ajith's earlier hit Billa, which hit the screens in 2008 and gave Ajith a big break. His sleek and stylish portrayal of the dreaded don, Billa, earned him a lot of appreciation and is perhaps one of the reasons that he’s now doing a prequel to the same subject.
While the first part was directed by Vishnuvardhan, Billa 2 is being helmed by Chakri Toleti. Shooting is on at hectic pace. Yuvan Sankar Raja is scoring the music.
