Though actor - director Ameer has ventured to act in Bharathiraja's Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum, he is quickly wrapping up the shoot for his directorial venture Adhi Bhagwan.
The ‘Paruthiveeran’-fame director spills the beans on his next directorial venture, Adhi Bhagwan. About 80 per cent of the movie is over and we will wrap up the shooting by January 15. It might seem to have taken time, but we started shooting long after the pooja. 'Adhi Bhagwan is my kind of making an entertainment movie and it will have a different colour like my other movies,' he says.
Ask him about Jayam Ravi’s performance, who plays the lead role, and he replies, 'I never speak about my actors. I would want others to talk about them. It applies to Jayam Ravi as well.'
But why is it that there are long breaks between his movies? 'There may have been breaks and by the time my life ends, I may end up making only 10 movies. But then, I make movies that I love to. I even told Mani Ratnam sir that I’m willing to work as an assistant director under him. But he was shocked to hear me and didn’t accept my suggestion. I would have even asked the same of Kamal sir but for ‘Adhi Bhagavan’ and AKKV. After all, when you lie back and take a look at your life, you must have some interesting moments to feel happy about,' smiles Ameer.
