Surat witnessed the dance performance of Sameera Reddy when she performed Garba dance during the last day of the nine-day long Navaratri festival.
Thousands thronged to catch a glimpse of the stars dancing to the tunes of traditional and Bollywood music. Says Sameera, 'Performing the dance is an integral part of the celebrations of the Navaratri. I am happy to be here.'
She added: 'I am a great lover of festivals and I just admire Navaratri. It is held in honour of the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga, celebrated over nine days.... And Surat is a great place, I must say.'
