NO CANADIAN SHOULD GO HUNGRY Guinness World Record Attempt - Pushing a Car for 24 hours
September 20, 2011 (Mississauga) – 2.7 million Canadians struggle to get enough to eat each year, 37% of which are children. Hunger has become a reality for too many Canadians. No Canadian should go hungry. Come out to support this year’s Kamel Cup Charity event, with Suresh Joachim, to help fight hunger in our local community.
The wheels are now in motion for Suresh Joachim – film, actor, producer and Canada’s No. 1 Guinness World Record holder – to break his 67th world record on September 24th, 2011. Joachim’s goal is to push a car for 50km or more within 24 hours to beat the current record of 42km in order to reclaim his record in this event that he set in 2006. Joachim is doing this not only to break the world record, but also to raise money & food for St. Mary's Food Bank and Soup Kitchen at the Kamel Cup Golf and Spa Charity event this year.
St. Mary’s Food Bank and Soup Kitchen serves over 50% of Mississauga’s needy people and families and recently launched one of the largest community kitchen programs to serve underprivileged children and elderly hot meals. This World Record Attempt is part of the Kamel Cup Charity Event to raise money and awareness for the food bank. We invite people to go to www.kamelcup .com to register for the event or to donate to the cause.
