The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) announced that elections to various positions of the council will be held on October 9.
In a statement, the council said that its members had urged the council to have the elections conducted at the earliest as there were several important issues that were pending before the powerful body.
The release stated that those interested in contesting the elections to the various positions of the TFPC, could obtain the nomination forms on September 19 and 20.
Nominees can file their nominations between September 23 and September 27. Nominations will be scrutinized after 6 pm on September 27. Nominations can be withdrawn between September 28 and 30.
