Director - actor R Parthiban starrer Mael Vilasam directed by Madhav Ramadasan has been selected for the screening at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival, South Korea.
It wil be screened in the world premiere section in the 'A Window on Asian Cinema Category' which showcases new works.
Madhav Ramadasan's debut film Mael Vilasam revolves around the traditions and rules of the Indian Army and has Suresh Gopi in the role of an Army lawyer. It is a film based on Soorya Krishnamoorthy's drama, which was in turn inspired by Swadesh Deepak's play Court Martial.
Ramadasan's film has no female characters, except for a child. There are also no songs in the film except for the background score.
Parthiban plays Sawar Ramachandran, a soldier in the film. In addition to Suresh Gopi and Parthiban, the film also stars Asokan, Talaivasal Vijay and Nizhalkal Ravi.
