The various bodies of Tamil film industry will observe a fast here tomorrow to express their solidarity for anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare.
Being organised by Tamil Film Industry Co-ordination Committee, the one-day fast between 9 am and 5 pm will witness actors, actresses, directors and producers sitting on a hunger strike at Film Chamber buildings.
According to producer Chitra Lakshmanan, 'those who want to express their support for the cause can join the fast and participation is not mandatory'.
Neither shooting nor screening of films in theatres will be halted, he said and added, 'it is our way of showing concern for the society'.
It may be recalled that Anna Hazare has been fasting at Ramlila Grounds in Delhi for the past few days seeking the government to pass Jan Lokpal Bill to drive out corruption from the country.
