Buzz is that A R Rahman will join hands with Mani Ratnam for his next venture, that would go to floors very soon. Mani Ratnam introduced Rahman a couple of decades ago and since then the two has been going strong and steady.
Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that Raavan, director Mani Ratnam is all ready with his next. It is a romantic entertainer starring newcomers. The movie would have script by writer Jayamohan and Mani Ratnam has roped in cinematographer and fellow director Rajiv Menon to shoot it. It is set among the fisherfolk of southern Tamilnadu.
'The lead roles will be played by new faces. The film will have a panoramic vision and lots of aerial shots,' said a source. Menon has worked with Mani on Bombay (1995) and Guru (2007).
Mani is keen to finish shooting the movie on a tight schedule by November, said sources. 'It is a big film and will require a lot of expertise since it will be shot in coastal areas and also in the sea,' said the sources.
