Post Ko’s stupendous success in Telugu as Rangam, there is a craze for Jiiva in the neighbouring State. Cashing in on his popularity in Andhra Pradesh, his forthcoming film Vandhan Vendran is being dubbed in Telugu as Vachadu Gelichadu.
K V V Satyanarayana has bought the Telugu dubbing rights. The film is slated for September release and informed sources tell us that both the versions would hit the screens simultaneously, unlike Ko, which was dubbed and released in Telugu later.
Vandhan Vendran has music composed by Thaman. Directed by Kannan, a fomer associate of Mani Ratnam, Vandhan Vendran features Jiiva in the role of a professional boxer. Tapsee is the heroine, while Nandha plays the baddie in it.
Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that Jiiva might do a direct Telugu film early next year and his father R B Choudhary himself will produce it. The actor is listening to some interesting scripts and hopefully announces his foray in Telugu soon.
