Watch out for a new Tapasee in Vandhan Vendran, says the ‘Vellavi vechi velutha…’ Aadukalam actress, who is awaiting the release of the Jiiva starrer, directed by R Kannan of Jayamkondan and Kana Kanden fame.
‘I am playing an architect in this film ans has shed weight considerably,’ she says and adds: ‘Kannan has offered me a good role in Vandhan Vendran. I learnt a lot of new things while shooting for the movie.’
Tapasee hails from Punjab and she made it big in Telugu before she made her entry in Tamil with Aadukalam. Going down the memory lane, she says, ‘South Indian film industry has given me a status. I just love Kollywood and Tollywood.’
Ask her about her dream role, she says, ‘There is nothing specific like that. All that I want is to carve a niche for myself and make fans to say ‘Tapasee is a talented actress who could do any role’. This is my simple wish.’
