Even as his prestigious film Mankatha, which is ‘Thala’ Ajith’s golden jubilee venture, is getting ready to hit the screens, director Venkat Prabhu is planning something contrast for his next venture.
If Mankatha featured Ajith, one of the extremely popular of actors of Tamil cinema in lead role, Venkat Prabhu’s next film, tentatively titled Neradi Olibarappu would have new faces playing important roles.
‘It will be a comedy caper on the lines of the director’s earlier movies Chennai 28, Goa and Saroja. Since Mankatha is a serious attempt, he would like to concentrate on humour again,’ say sources in the know.
‘The shoot of Neradi Olibarappu will start once Mankatha hits the screens. A popular production house will fund the project. The director is currently making the script ready. Expect an official announcement soon,’ add sources.
