No, there is no connection between Sonia Agarwal and Lawrence Raghavendra’s forthcoming film Kanchana. But there is a buzz in K-town that the actress’s comeback film Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakumoolam is loosely based on the life of yesteryear actress Kanchana.
However, Sonia is quick to deny that the film is not inspired by the life of any particular actress. ‘It will be a collage of the experiences artistes undergo in the tinsel town. Every actress can relate herself to the role,’ she says.
In Oru Nadigayin Vakku Moolam (Confession of an actress), Soniya will be seen as the lead protagonist — an actress. The film is directed by Raj Krishna. ‘He is a great narrator and his style of story telling impressed me a lot,’ Sonia says.
‘This is my second innings in the industry and I’m all set to give it my best shot,’ she says and adds: ‘I want to go raw and to stick to what the director says. And I am hopeful that the film would make it big.’
