A day after he returned to Chennai after successfully undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailment in Singpore, Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday received a phone call from former Tamilnadu Chief Minister and DMK president M Karunanidhi.
According to a press release from DMK headquarters, the Anna Arivalayalam, Karunanidhi enquired about Rajinikanth’s health condition and the treatment given to him in Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
The octogenarian leader also expressed his happiness that the matinee idol is back in town fit and fine. In return, the gracious Superstar, known for his impeccable manners and well rounded concern, asked about the ex-CM's health and daughter Kanimozhi, who is currently languishing in Delhi's Tihar Jail over her role in the 2G spectrum scam.
Rajinikanth was shooting for the Tamil period film Rana on April 29 when he complained of exhaustion. Since then, he has been in and out of different hospitals. He travelled to Singapore on May 28 where he was admitted to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
