Thousands of fans greeted Superstar Rajinikanth when he arrived at the Chennai airport from Singapore on Wednesday night. Three hours before his arrival, large groups had begun assembling at the airport.
As soon as Rajinikanth emerged out from the airport through the VVIP special entrance, fans waiting for hours together at airport premises chanted ‘Thalaiva, Thalaiva’. The matinee idol waved his hands at them with an energetic smile.
Rajini’s wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya Dhanush and Soundarya Ashwin accompanied the Superstar from Singapore.
Security at the airport was beefed up as a large number of the actor’s fans turned up there when the Superstar arrived by Singapore Airlines. Festoons, banners and posters have been put up by fans along the roads leading to the airport.
After being discharged from hospital in Singapore on June 15, the superstar had stayed back to recuperate. The actor's son-in-law, Dhanush, had reassured fans, tweeting: “Superstar discharged from hospital. He has recovered completely and taking rest. God bless”.
