Snehan, the lyricist who is making his entry as an actor with a film titled Uyarthiru 420, has said that his acting debut is not in competition with Pa Vijay, another lyricist who had donned the greasepaint in Gnabagangal and Ilaignan.
‘In fact, I was the one who greeted Pa Vijay first after watching Gnabagangal. We are good friends and my acting debut was just an accident. I am no competition to Vijay,’ says the popular lyricist, who is known for his contribution to many chartbuster songs.
On the film, he says, ‘We initially wanted it to name Manbumigu 420. But we realised later that it could bring some trouble as Manbumigu is a word used to refer Ministers. So we changed the title as Uyarthiru 420.’
Throwing more light, he said, ‘The film is about an ordinary youth who aspires to become big in life. For that, he uses in brain in cunning ways and cheat the gullible people. What happens next is the climax. The movie has been shaped up well.’
