A few weeks ago, it was announced that Vikram Prabhu, grandson of great actor Sivaji Ganesan and son of ace actor Prabhu will don the greasepaint soon, in a film to be directed by Prabu Solomon of Mynaa fame.
On Monday evening, a press meet was organised in Chennai to officially unveil the film. ‘Titled Kumki (meaning a wild elephant), the movie will be yet another love story set in the backdrop of a forest,’ the director said.
Kumki will be produced by Lingusamy’s Thirrupathi Brothers Brothers Film Media Pvt Ltd in associaton with UTV Motion Pictures. Music will be scored by D Imman, whose songs in Mynaa are still making waves.
‘The knot of Kumki struck me long back when I came to know about a real life incident. I developed it as a love story. Vikram Prabhu is a perfect fit to the character he is playing in the movie. He underwent rigorous training,’ Prabu Solomon added.
