In one of the biggest deals in Kollywood in the recent times, UTV Motion Pictures has signed a three-film agreement with Lingusamy’s Thirrupathi Brothers Film Media Pvt Ltd to release three of its forthcoming movies.
According to the deal, Thirrupathi Brothers’ under production films Vettai directed by Lingusamy with Madhavan, Arya, Sameera, Amala in the lead, director Balaji Sakthivel's Vazhakku Enn 18/9 with newcomers and director Prabhu Solomon's Kumki, launch film of actor Prabhu’s son Vikram Prabhu will be marketed by UTV.
While Vazhakku Enn 18/9 is being planned for a September release, Vettai will be released in November, and Kumki in February or March 2012. ‘I am happy to be associated with UTV Motion Pictures,’ says Lingusamy.
Echoing him, UTV’s Dhananjayan says, ‘All the three film being made by Thirrupathi Brothers are meaningful entertainers. We are happy to distribute them.’ Apart from these three ventures, UTV also has Dheiva Thirumagal, Muran and Mugamoodi in hands.
