Vimala Raman is so thrilled with her maiden Hollywood film Dam 999 receiving critical acclaim.
‘I couldn’t believe when my performance was lauded in the Cannes film festival. I can’t ask for more,’ says the actress.
Popular in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, Vimala Raman says, ‘Acting in Dam 999 was a great experience. I portray the karuna rasa and it was a mind-blowing experience. I’ll cherish it forever.’
Interestingly, the actress is currently making her entry in Bollywood, with comedy king Govinda. ‘It will be a laugh-riot and it’s a challenge to match comic timing with one of the best comedy stars in India,’ she was quoted as saying.
On her taking break from Kollywood, she says, ‘It is not intentional. I am looking forward for interesting offers and will sure take it once challenging roles come my way. I like Tamil cinema very much.’
