Deepika Padukone received the surprise of her life a few days ago, when she received a phone call from Rajinikanth, the numero uno actor of south Indian cinema. The Superstar, according to sources, discussed with her about their forthcoming film Rana.
‘Rajini, who is taking rest in Singapore at present, is keen at starting Rana immediately after he returns to Chennai. He already held discussions with director K S Ravikumar and lyricist Vairamuthu,’ sources say.
‘Recently, he telephoned Deepika Padukone and asked her to keep herself free by September for the project. The happy Bollywood actress assured the Superstar that she would extend her full cooperation for the film.’
Meanwhile, Ravikumar is expected to leave for Singapore soon, following an instruction from Rajini. ‘There the two will shape up the script and make some crucial changes keeping in mind Rajini’s health and treatment,’ add sources.
